Who are your group representing for the Lip Sync?
We’re proudly representing the teachers of Gaelscoil Chluain Meala —proving once and for all that those who can’t dance… teach!
What is the name of your act?
We went with S Club a hOcht because there are eight of us, and if you’re going to ruin a classic, you might as well do it using cúpla focail. Plus, S Club Seacht just felt… incomplete.
Why did you choose this act?
Let’s be clear—none of us chose this. We were forcibly recruited by Emma, who’s on a one-woman mission to turn us into Billy Barry kids. Resistance was futile.
Who is the biggest diva in the group, and why?
Darren, hands down. He demanded a spotlight, a wind machine, and three costume changes—and that’s just for the first chorus.
Who has been the most improved?
Absolutely none of us. Not a single step of improvement. We are here to make a show of ourselves and enjoy every second.
If your group were a famous band or artist, who would you be?
We’d be ABBA... if one of them had a dodgy knee, another forgot the lyrics, and the other two just wanted to go to the bar instead.
Who is your biggest competition, and why? Who are you watching nervously from the sidelines?
Every. Other. Group. We know you’ve got choreography and talent, but do you have bad timing, a bit of chaos, and an unstoppable commitment to the craic? Didn’t think so.
What can the audience expect from your performance in three words?
Cheese. Chaos. Charm.
