Henry James Fitzgerald
Henry James Fitzgerald

Introduce yourself in one sentence:
My name is Henry James, and I am a choreographer, Social Care Worker and cofounder of Creative Minds Productions in Clonmel.

What is your connection to the Presentation?
I am a proud past student of the Presentation. I graduated in 2017 and couldn’t stay away and continued to choreograph school shows until 2023.

What are you hoping to see from the performers?
Mostly I want to see community spirit exude from their performances. I want to see everyone enjoying themselves together and feeling confident that they are providing great entertainment for an equally great cause.

If you had to get up and perform a Lip Sync battle yourself, what act or song would you choose and why?
Chapell Roan “Pink Pony Club” for the costume options alone

Keith Dwyer Greene
Keith Dwyer Greene

Keith is a performer, teacher and choreographer with a passion for all things musical theatre.

What is your connection to Presentation Clonmel?
Keith was a teacher in the Pres before joining the army as a full time musician.
Fun fact, Miss, Williams filled Keith’s jobs in the Pres when he left, so he likes to credit himself for her success!!

What are you hoping to see from the performers?
Keith is hoping to see a lot of charisma and FUN on the stage tonight. The audience will enjoy themselves most when the performers can let loose and have the craic.

If you had to get up and perform a Lip Sync Battle what song would you choose and why?
It’s got to be Defying Gravity. I have had an unhealthy obsession with Wicked since around 2005 and I know it so well that I’d give Cynthia Erivo and Idina Menzel a run for their money!

Máirín McGrath
Máirín McGrath

Introduce yourself in one sentence:
I'm from Newcastle, I'm an Independent County Councillor, but more importantly a former Pres Girl!

What is your connection to the Presentation?
I attended the Pres from 2011-2016, and really loved my time there. I was Vice President of the Students Council in Sixth Year and have always kept close links with the school since I left, especially within my role as a Public Representative!

What are you hoping to see from the performers?
A confident performance - and to see everyone who takes to the stage enjoying themselves! I am particularly excited to see some of my former teachers in the spotlight.. I got a white card or two in my day so it might be payback time!!!

If you had to get up and perform a Lip Sync battle yourself, what act or song would you choose and why?
Unfortunately for me, I've already had to take to the stage in a Lip Sync Battle last year in for Colaiste Dun Iascaigh in Cahir, so I totally understand the nerves from contestants! When I was on stage, we performed One Way or Another by Blondie, but it was the One Direction cover! It took a lot to get on stage, but it was all for a good cause!

Introduce yourself in one sentence:
Hi, I’m Derek O’Mahoney, from Ardfinnan, married to Margaret. We have two kids, Emer and Darren and I’m probably best known for being a GAA Referee.

What is your connection to the Presentation?
My connection to the school is the two ladies in our house are currently in the Presentation. Margaret is a Religion and History teacher and Emer is in 5th Year.

What are you hoping to see from the performers?
I hope they enjoy the experience and give it their all.

If you had to get up and perform a Lip Sync battle yourself, what act or song would you choose and why?
If I had to do a lip sync battle, I’d normally do Elvis but this time it would have to be the Greatest Showman. It’s a great film and we have a Hugh Jackman fan in our house.

Pres Lip Sync would not be possible without the expertise of our brilliant producer Tracey O’ Leary, and energetic choreographer Keisha O’ Shea. Tracey and Keisha, both teachers in the Presentation Secondary School, have committed endless hours of their time and talent towards this fundraiser. We thank them sincerely for their contribution to enhancing school life in Pres Clonmel.

SPorts complex

At Presentation Secondary School Clonmel we have always been committed to providing the best possible environment for our students to thrive, academically, socially, and physically. We are currently undertaking exciting new developments around the sporting facilities on the school campus.

Last December, we proudly opened Phase One of the project in partnership with Clonmel Hockey Club. The All-Weather Pitch is a state-of-the-art facility located on our school grounds which not only enhances the sporting experience of our own students, but also serves as a vital community resource, benefiting countless individuals and organisations in Clonmel and the surrounding areas. The overall projected costing for the All-Weather Pitch is over €700,00.

Phase Two of the development will begin in 2025, where we will embark upon the development of two further playing pitches. This project will take place over the next two years resulting in newly seeded, sanded, and irrigated pitches available for use by the Clonmel Community and beyond. Finally, Phase Three of the project will see the provision of brand-new dressing rooms with bathroom facilities.

Why This Project Matters:

  • Physical activity is crucial for the mental and physical health of our students. The all-weather pitch ensures year-round access to sporting facilities, regardless of the weather.
  • We want to counteract the marked drop in participation in sports among young women.
  • Engaging in sport, at any level, aids in the development of many skills including teamwork, communication, and personal responsibility.
  • Our new pitch will foster community engagement with its availability to local sports teams and community groups.

Thank You for Your Support

I would like to thank you for your generous support in helping us to bring this project to fruition. By purchasing a ticket for tonight’s Lip Sync Battle, a vote or a raffle ticket, you are investing in the future, health, and wellbeing of the young people in our community.

I would also like to thank each of the superstars who volunteered their time and energy to create a brilliant night’s entertainment for us all, and of course to every single person who was involved in “making it happen”, in particular the brilliant staff of Presentation Clonmel.

Finally, my last word of thanks is reserved for Mr. Michael O’ Loughlin, without whom this project would not be in existence.
