ASD Centre

The Presentation Secondary School ASD Centre is a dedicated facility designed to support students Additional Educational Needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop important social skills.

The Centre comprises two fully equipped classrooms (SC9 and SC10), a calming Sensory Room, kitchen facilities to encourage life skills, and a welcoming social area to promote interaction and friendship. It is staffed by two highly experienced lead teachers, supported by two dedicated teaching teams, ensuring a personalised and supportive learning environment.

The aim of the ASD Centre is to provide a safe, inclusive space where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Due to high demand, an application process applies, and a waiting list is currently in operation. The Centre reflects the school’s commitment to inclusion, understanding, and empowering every student to reach their full potential.

The Presentation Secondary School is delighted to announce that a new ASD Centre, featuring four fully equipped classrooms and associated spaces, has been sanctioned for development by the Department of Education. Currently in the design phase, the project will also include a sensory garden and modern outdoor facilities.

This development represents a huge enhancement for the school, creating an inclusive and supportive environment that celebrates the diversity of our students. By providing state-of-the-art resources and spaces, the new Centre will help ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and personally.
